The life of our 3 star campsite in Gien is centered on the Loire and its surroundings. The campsite is located on the banks of the Loire River with a view of the Château de Gien, the ideal starting point for many activities.

Hike from the campsite in Gien

Many bicycle tours pass through Gien, a stone’s throw from our campsite. We offer for rent: classic or electric bikes, as well as canoes. The campsite also offers organized and accompanied outings combining cycling and canoeing.

Bike ride

Whether you are a cyclist or prefer a short bike ride with your family, there is something for everyone. Our campsite is bordered by the Loire à Vélo, a famous bicycle route that runs along the Loire and links Cuffy near Nevers to Saint Brevin les Pins near Saint Nazaire.

The Loire by bike crosses beautiful landscapes, pretty villages along the Loire and of course the famous castles of the Loire.

For a short family walk of less than 30 minutes (8 kilometers), go to Saint Brisson sur Loire and discover its castle. If you want a longer walk, you can leave for Chatillon sur Loire (1 hour, 18 kilometers) where you can admire the lock of Mantelot. You can also bike to Sully Sur Loire and discover its castle (1h30, 29 kilometers)

The Loire in a canoe

Discover the Loire by canoe, around Gien, with typical landscapes between locks, wild beaches and the Briare canal. The Loire is the longest river to flow entirely in France. A great wild river, the Loire benefits from rich and preserved natural environments and a fauna and flora protected by the Natura 2000 network. Take a day or half-day trip on the Loire River in a canoe, for a magnificent family outing on this magical river. The campsite offers canoe rental and we also organize accompanied canoe + bike trips.

Think about it to enjoy the Loire, the landscapes and the breathtaking views that will pass before your eyes!

Half day from Briare or Châtillon sur Loire or full day from Beaulieu sur Loire. We will take care of the transportation to the desired location and you will go down the Loire River to the beach which is on the edge of the campsite.

At our campsite in Gien, you can also enjoy the swimming pool from early June to mid-September. Enjoy water games with your family, lounging by the pool, not to mention the beach by the Loire River and the view of the Gien castle.

We also offer many activities within the campsite. Our campsite in Gien is a place to relax and have fun with family and friends. You can enjoy a game of petanque, miniature golf, or get back in shape with our fitness equipment. Vacationers can also enjoy many activities with their children such as games, bike rides or canoeing.
